VILLA SPARINA: WINES OF QUALITY AND PERSONALITY

Villa Sparina 10 anni, Monterotondo, Rivalta, Gavi, Barbera, Rosé, Brut Metodo Classico Blanc de Blancs: all our wines stand out for their structural balance, overall harmony and territorial recognition.

Highlights include our Monterotondo, a cru obtained from the Cortese grape from a special, small heritage vineyard in the Municipality of Gavi, and the Rivalta, a great red obtained from the Barbera grape. The Gavi and the Barbera stand out for their fresh taste, while the Spumante Brut Metodo Classico is a fresh, pleasant sparkling wine.

Our top-quality product, the Monterotondo cru, is a white wine that makes its mark over time and expresses the soul of the region; an extraordinary wine capable of enhancing the acidic, tangy salinity and mineral qualities typical of the grape, which only improve with age.

Some bottles of Monterotondo are jealously guarded in our historic cellars and, after 10 long years of ageing, are adorned with the label “Villa Sparina 10 anni”.

VILLA SPARINA 10 Anni

GAVI DEL COMUNE DI GAVI

This is the Cru of Villa Sparina obtained from the best grapes from ancient, favourably exposed vineyards.
Produced separately with artisanal methods, the “Villa Sparina10” is a wine of great personality that will amaze you with its freshness and minerality and which, despite its 10 years of ageing in the bottle, is still very young. The nose is complex and elegant, with notes of dried fruit and spices. In the mouth it is fine and persistent with hints of anise and mint; its fruity aromas are intensified by the special structure, but at the same time its lively acidic note leaves it fresh.

THE MONTEROTONDO

GAVI DEL COMUNE DI GAVI DOCG

The Monterotondo is the Villa Sparina Cru obtained from rich, complex grapes from a historic, favourably exposed part of property.
Produced separately and by artisanal methods, the Monterotondo gives the palate those characteristics that make the partnership between the Cortese grape and the land unique: freshness, minerality, tangy salinity, acidity, strength,
longevity and elegance. The extraordinary qualities of this white wine only improve with age.
All our vintages from 1997 to today are a delicious journey into the flavours of a unique region.

The Gavi

GAVI DEL COMUNE DI GAVI DOCG

The Gavi DOCG del Comune di Gavi has always been integral to the historic identity of Villa Sparina.
It is a great classic made from the Cortese grape; a white wine with a unique strength and exquisite freshness that express truth and the region. Lively, fresh and fruity, this Gavi gives harmonious, immediate and contemporary flavours.

BRUT METODO CLASSICO BLANC DE BLANCS

SPARKLING WINE

Carefully crafted and with a label and finish rich in precious detail, the Villa Sparina Brut is a Metodo Classico that subtly expresses the distinctiveness of the Cortese grape and the region.
This sparkling wine expresses its true identity after at least 42 months in contact with the lees: full-bodied, intense, with a good balance between acidity and minerality.
Its very fine perlage, its freshness and  its long and persistent aftertaste will astound you.

RIVALTA

BARBERA DEL MONFERRATO SUP. DOCG

The Rivalta is a Barbera del Monferrato Superiore DOCG.
It has an intense, ruby-red colour. The nose expresses great elegance and a good complexity of aromas, and opens with hints of black cherry, balsamic and minty notes.
The scent evolves on hints of spice and coffee. With a good body and nice softness, it oozes freshness and strength. With a long, fruity finish, this special red releases soft, enveloping hints of black cherry, mint, pepper, vanilla and coffee.

BARBERA

PIEMONTE DOC BARBERA

The Barbera Villa Sparina is recognisable by its bright ruby red colour and by its extremely fine perfume, given by the perfect ripening of the grapes. This intense and fruity Barbera, with juicy notes of raspberry, is appreciated for its fresh, smooth flavour with a persistent finale.

ROSÉ

PIEMONTE DOC ROSATO

Contemporary, with a minimal, elegant design. 
The bottle’s transparency allows  the subtle rosy nuances of this wine to shine through.
The Villa Sparina Rosé is a Piemonte DOC Rosato,  produced in steel vats. 
It is a young wine with floral scents, which is appreciated for its extraordinary freshness.
In the mouth it is harmonious and velvety with a good structure.

MONTEJ BIANCO

PIEMONTE DOC CHARDONNAY

Contemporary, minimally crafted to leave room for the straw-yellow colour of the wine, the Montej Bianco is obtained using Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc produced in steel vats. A captivating, floral and enveloping white wine with a note of freshness that enhances its character.
